New Jersey Obituaries - June 22, 1898 - Mrs. Elizabeth (Redmund) Gugel

Mrs. Elizabeth Gugel of Deal died on Tuesday of last week, aged 84 years. About a year ago Mrs. Gugel was stricken with paralysis and her death was due to this disease. Previous to this attack she had always enjoyed excellent health. Mrs. Gugel was born at Tuckahoe, in Atlantic county. She was married to Frederick Gugel of Deal over sixty years ago. Mr. Gugel died about ten years ago. Seven children were born to the couple and all of them are living. The children are Henry Gugel of Long Branch, John I. Gugel of West Long Branch, Miss Mary Gugel of Deal, Mrs. Emma Kavanaugh of Newark, William Gugel of Bergen Hill, George Gugel of Greenpoint and Frederick Gugel of Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Gugel also left a brother, William Redmund, who is 86 years old, and a half-brother, John Ireland, who is nearly 97 years old.
