New Jersey Obituaries - March 9, 1898 - Frederick Eckhart

Frederick Eckhart, a well-known resident of Keyport, died at New York last Friday, where he had been for the benefit of his health. The body was taken to Keyport, where the funeral was held on Sunday from the Reformed church. Mr. Eckhart was a member of the Red Men's, Odd Fellows and Royal Arcanum lodges, the New Era association, Raritan hose company and the Veteran's association. The members of these societies attended the funeral, which was one of the largest ever held at Keyport, there being 391 men in line.
