New Jersey Obituaries - March 9, 1898 - Anthony Truax
|
Anthony Truax of Long Branch City died of paralysis last Friday, aged 87 years. Mr. Truax had a stroke of paralysis about six years ago and a year and a half later suffered another stroke. Mr. Truax lived on his farm at Poplar for 62 years, but a few years ago he moved to Long Branch City. He was married twice, his first wife being Miss Content White of Hamilton, by whom he had six children. His second wife was Miss Ida T. Conover of Long Branch, and one son by this union survives him. The children are Anthony T. Truax and Mrs. Matthias Woolley of Long Branch, Henry Truax and Mrs. George C. Taylor of Asbury Park, Elias L. Truax of Camden, Joseph C. Truax of Poplar and Conover Truax. The funeral was held yesterday at the West Long Branch Methodist church, of which Mr. Truax had been a member for many years.
Per the Death Notice Mr. Truax was aged 87 years and 8 months.
