New Jersey Obituaries - November 2, 1898 - Maurice Cheesman
|
Maurice Cheesman died of old age at the home of his son-in-law, J. Trafford Allen, on Riverside avenue on Saturday morning. He was ninety years old. Mr. Cheesman was born in London, England. He came to America in his youth and engaged in the manufacture of umbrellas in New York with a man named Davis, under the firm name of Cheesman & Davis. He was engaged in this business until about twenty years ago, when he retired. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the house. The service was conducted by Rev. Robert MacKellar and the burial was at Fair View.
