New Jersey Obituaries - November 2, 1898 - Mrs. Patience Phillips

Mrs. Patience Phillips, widow of Capt. Richard Phillips of Belford, died last Friday of a complication of diseases. She was 42 years old and had been sick about six months. She leaves six children. The children are Richard, Louis, Alonzo, Joseph, Edward and Lizzie Phillips. Mrs. Phillips left an estate valued at $2,000, but she made no will. All the children are small with the exception of Richard, who is twenty years old. He will apply to the court for the appointment of a guardian for the children. The funeral was held on Monday at half-past one at the house. The service was conducted by Rev. Joseph Clark. The burial was at Fair View.
