New Jersey Wills - November 23, 1898 - Bridget O'Connor
|
Two other wills have been probated during the past week. One of these was the will of Bridget O'Connor of Matawan. She left $100 to the priest of St. Joseph's church at Keyport to be used for masses; $100 each to Mary Collins and Margaret Collins of Raritan township, the daughters of her cousin, James Collins, Jr.; and $100 to her niece, Ellen Collins of Brooklyn. After directing that $100 be spent for a headstone for her grave, she directed that all the rest of her estate be invested and the proceeds paid to her husband, Michael O'Connor, as long as he should live. At his death the principal is to be paid to her brother and sister, Cornelius Collins and Mary Collins of Clonakilty, Ireland, to be equally divided between them. Her cousin, James Collins of Raritan township, was made executor of the will.
