At midnight on Saturday night he was stricken and remained in a semi-conscious condition all day Sunday. At half-past nine on Sunday night he died.

Mr. Allaire was 64 years old and was born in New York. In 1859 he was married to Miss Sarah C. Parks of New York. Cornwell, Mrs. Herbert Hill, Mrs. Robert MacDonald and Miss Margaret Allaire. Mr. Allaire moved to Red Bank in 1875 and engaged in the butcher business on Front street, in the market now occupied by Dustan Allaire. Several years later he engaged in the real estate and insurance business, and was in this business with his son as partner at the time of his death.

The funeral was held this morning at eleven o'clock from the house. The service was conducted by Rev. E. C. Hancock, assisted by Rev. Robert G. Davey and Rev. W. B. Matteson. Several selections were sung by the Methodist church choir. The body was buried at Fair View cemetery.
