Mrs. Sarah Lane, wife of Howard Lane of Freehold, died last Wednesday of consumption. She was the daughter of Sarah and David Estell and was born in Ocean county on May 4th, 1875. She married Mr. Lane on June 30th, 1896, and since then had lived at Freehold, where her husband kept a grocery store. He sold his business recently and was about to move to Lakewood for the benefit of his wife’s health. Mrs. Lane leaves one son, Stephen VanCleaf Lane. The following sisters also survive her; Mrs. Charlotte Le Compte of Lakewood, Miss Carrie Estell of Greenville, Mrs. Charles H. Lane of Freehold and Mrs. Eudora Herbert of Herbertsville.
