New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Sarah A. (Griggs) Hendrickson

Mrs. Sarah A. Hendrickson, wife of Garrett Hendrickson of Matawan, died on Friday of last week of
anaemia (sic), aged 71 years. She had been sick about four weeks. She was the daughter of the late Mary
and Benjamin Griggs and was born at Matawan. In 1864 she married Garrett Hendrickson, who was then a farmer in Holmdel township. About twenty years ago she and her husband moved to Matawan, where they have since resided. She leaves one sister and three brothers. They are Miss E. W. Griggs, Benjamin E. Griggs and William H. Griggs of Matawan, and John S. Griggs of New Haven, Connecticut. Mrs. Hendrickson was a member of the Matawan Presbyterian church and had always been active in church and Sunday-school work.
