A Child Poisoned by Strychnine
Edwin Gillinder, aged four years, son of Edwin Bennett Gillinder of Philadelphia, died from eating strychnine last Saturday afternoon at the home of its grandfather, J. F. Bainbridge of Asbury Park. The child got in the medicine chest unnoticed and took out a bottle of strychnine pills. It swallowed several pills, thinking it was candy. Medical aid was summoned but the child died in a short time.
