He Overslept Himself

Charles Johnston of Chestnut street is employed as a clerk by Frank F. Supp of Monmouth street. He asked Mr. Supp for last Wednesday off to go on the Red Men's excursion to Atlantic City. Mr. Johnston had been keeping very late hours and on Wednesday morning he did not wake up until ten o'clock. It was then too late to go on the excursion and also too late to go to work. Mr. Johnston spent the remainder of the day loafing in Red Bank.
