New Jersey Wills - 1899 - William G. Hitchcock
|
Wm. G. Hitchcock's Will
Almost His Entire Estate Goes To His Widow
William G. Hitchcock of Red Bank, who died last October, left a widow but no children. His will was probated last week. It provided that his debts should be paid and that $100 should be paid to the Fair View cemetery company, in trust, the income of Which is to be used in keeping his burial plot in order. After this bequest is paid, everything else he possessed, real estate, mortgages, other personal property, etc., was left to his wife, Emeline Hitchcock. She is to have all the income from the property and as much of the principal as she chooses to spend. She can sell the lands and use the money if she sees fit, or she can collect the mortgages and spend the money, or she can invest the money elsewhere. She has absolute power over all the estate, the only condition being that at her death, if there is any part of his estate left, it shall go to his relatives in the same proportionate shares that it would have been distributed if he had left no will. The will was made June 18th, 1898. Mrs. Hitchcock and Edmund Wilson were made executors of the will and S. W. Parmentier and J. Fred Wherry were the witnesses.
