New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - David C. Thompson
|
David C., son of George C. and the late Catharine Thompson of Freehold, died of heart disease and dropsy on Sunday, November 26th, aged 33 years. Mr. Thompson was born in Manalapan township but had spent most of his life at Freehold. He had been sexton of Maplewood cemetery for some time. He was a member of the Freehold Episcopal church and of the Red Men's lodge and American Mechanics lodge of Freehold. Mr. Thompson married Miss Eliza Callaghan, and she and three children survive him. The children are Ethel, William H., and David I. Thompson. Three sisters and a brother also survive him. They are Mrs. Stephen Longstreet of Long Branch, Mrs. Timothy Dangler of Manalapan, Mrs. Dennis Callaghan, Jr., of Freehold, and George O. Thompson of West Freehold.
