New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Hannah H. Vanderveer

Mrs. Hannah H. Vanderveer, wife of Benjamin W. Vanderveer of Shrewsbury, died on Monday morning of paralysis, accompanied with other diseases. She had been unconscious for nearly a week before her death. She was born at Burlington, but had lived in the vicinity of Shrewsbury ever since her marriage to Mr. Vanderveer. She was a woman of fine intellectual attainments and of high character. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Presbyterian church and was very active in church work. She was also a very active member of the Shrewsbury reading club. She was 63 years old and leaves two daughters and a son, all of whom are unmarried and live at home. The children are Misses Ella and Maria Vanderveer and Robert Vanderveer. The funeral was held at her late residence this afternoon at half-past one o’clock. The service was conducted by Rev. Samuel D. Price. The pall bearers were R. F. Hopper, J. G. Breese, Jacob Shoemaker, Edward Williams, Lambert Borden and Fred W. Hope.
