New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Susan E. (Tucker) Barkalow
|
Mrs. Susan E. Barkalow, widow of John J. Barkalow, died of paralysis at Eatontown on Saturday. She was stricken with the disease on Thursday and grew steadily worse until Saturday, when she died. Mrs. Barkalow’s maiden name was Tucker, and she was born at Poplar in 1813. She married when she was about 22 years old and moved to Little Silver. She lived there until the death of her husband, and since that time she had lived at Red Bank, Oceanport and Eatontown. She was a sister to the late Mrs. William Haynes of Oceanport. The funeral was to have been held at three o’clock on Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist church at Oceanport, but the service was postponed until to-morrow afternoon on account of the storm.
