New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Stephen Newman

Stephen Newman, a well-known resident of Pleasure Bay, died of paralysis last Friday. He was stricken about two weeks ago while turning a cornsheller. He partly recovered and a few days before his death was able to be out. Mr. Newman was the son of Elizabeth and Stephen Newman and was born at Sea Plain, which is now Lake Como. He was 52 years old. He was married twice and a widow and seven children survive him. Mr. Newman was a member of five secret societies and his widow will receive $840 in funeral benefits from them.
