New Jersey Wills - 1899 - Samuel F. Patterson

Samuel F. Patterson of Freehold Township made his will October 19th, 1898. He ordered his funeral expenses paid and he directed that a tombstone, not to cost over $25, be put up over his grave within a year after his death and that it be inscribed with his name, date of birth and death, and the words, “Company F., eighth regiment, New Jersey volunteers,” in which company he served during the civil war. He left all his property to his niece, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Johnson, who was made executrix. The will was witnessed by Harry Barkalow, Fred Hirschy and George C. Beekman.
