New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - John Wilson

John Wilson, oldest son of Rev. Thaddeus Wilson, formerly pastor of the Presbyterian church at Shrewsbury, died at the home of his father at Spring Lake on Monday at the age of 38 years. Death was caused by diabetes and intercostal neuralgia. Mr. Wilson was a brother of Edmund Wilson of Red Bank. He was a graduate of Princeton college and afterward attended the law school of the University of Virginia. He afterward taught school at Pittsburg for several years and later began the practice of law. He had built up a very large and profitable practice, and was one of the most successful lawyers of Pittsburg. His wife was Miss Susan Minor, daughter of one of the professors of the law school of the University of Virginia. She survives him, and he also leaves three children.

The funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church at Shrewsbury on Friday afternoon at half-past one o’clock.
