Peter McCartee Wright of Freehold died of paralysis on Saturday a week ago, aged 83 years. He had been sick a week and on the day of his death he lay down on the floor near the kitchen stove and died. His aged sister, Miss Anne Wright, who lived with him, thought he was asleep, and it was not until she went to awaken him that she found he was dead. Mr. Wright was the son of Andrew Wright and was a native of New York. He moved to Freehold 23 years ago and had lived there ever since. He became blind about three years ago. His sister will hereafter make her home with relatives at New York.
