New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - James Thompson

James Thompson of Long Branch died on Saturday a week ago of asthma, aged 63 years. Mr. Thompson was a native of Glasgow, Scotland. He was a carpet weaver by trade. He was twice married. His first wife was Miss Catherine McGinnis, who died in 1862. She left two children, Mrs. Elizabeth Archer of Jersey City and Mrs. Jacob West of Long Branch city. In 1868 Mr. Thompson married Miss Mary Mitchell, who survives him. He left no children by his second wife.
