New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Thomas Cook
|
Thomas Cook of Oakhurst died on Monday night of pneumonia, aged 70 years. He had been sick three weeks. Mr. Cook was a life-long resident of Ocean township and had held several township offices. He had served as assessor and township committeeman for several years and was one of the oldest justices of the peace in the township. He was a member of Washington lodge of Free Masons of Eatontown and of Arioch lodge of Odd Fellows at Long Branch. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles Beecroft of Asbury Park and Mrs. Irene Walker of Chicago. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at half-past one o’clock at the house and at two o’clock at the West Long Branch Methodist church. Washington lodge of Free Masons will conduct the service.
