Joseph G. Bacon died at Freehold on Sunday of last week, aged 67 years. He had been in poor health for several years and for the past year had been unable to work. Mr. Bacon was a carpenter by trade and had lived at Freehold for 28 years. He was born at Mauricetown, in Cumberland county. He was married three times, his third wife being Mrs. Charlotte R. Reid, who survives him. Eight children also survive him. They are Joseph Bacon of Millville, Mrs. Harrison Hand of Port Norris, and Harry W. Bacon, Edward G. Bacon, George Bacon, Vela Bacon, Florence Bacon and Ada Bacon, all of Freehold.

Per the Death Notice Mr. Bacon was 67 years and 11 months of age.
