William Bruce died at Oceanic yesterday of a complication of diseases. He was 72 years old and had been sick a long time. He was a school teacher by profession and for a number of years he taught the intermediate department of the Red Bank public school when that school occupied a building on Dugan alley, in the rear of the old Leighton hall. Mr. Bruce leaves three sons. They are Samuel, William and James Bruce, all of Oceanic. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at one o’clock from the Oceanic Presbyterian church. The service will be conducted by Rev. S. W. Knipe, and the burial will be at Fair View cemetery.
