Mrs. Hannah Tiffin Hopper of Eatontown, Widow of John Hopper, who was Injured by a Fall Several Weeks Ago, Died on Monday
Mrs. Hannah Tiffin Hopper ,widow of John Hopper, died at Eatontown on Monday from injuries which she received some weeks ago by falling and injuring her spine. She was 78 years old and was the daughter of Hannah and John Drummond of Deal. When she was sixteen years old she married George C. Tiffin, and shortly after the marriage they moved to Eatontown. Mr. Tiffin died about 1858 and ten years later his widow married John Hopper, who died in 1894. Mrs. Hopper had no children. Her nearest relatives are two nephews, Fredrick Brautigam of Asbury Park and A. Drummond Schroeder of Brooklyn. The funeral was held this afternoon at half-past one o’clock from the house. The service was conducted by Rev. M. R. Thompson, pastor of the Baptist church. The body was buried in Christ churchyard at Shrewsbury.
