Killed At Seabright

A Boy Run Over by a Train and Frightfully Mangled

Sander Anderson, the six-year-old son of Henry Anderson of Seabright, was run over by a train at that place on Monday afternoon. His left leg was cut off at the knee and his right leg was badly crushed. His head was injured and his hands were mangled. He was taken to the Long Branch hospital, and died a short time after his arrival. The boy was playing tag at the church crossing with a number of other boys, and was chasing one of them when he ran in front of a northbound train. Some of his companions warned young Anderson of his danger, but he became bewildered and instead of running away from the place of danger, ran right into it. The body was brought back to his home at Seabright yesterday and the funeral will be held to-morrow.
