Rev. Benjamin Dubois Wyckoff of Asbury Park died on Thursday a week ago at Pine Bluff, North Carolina, aged
65 years. He went to Pine Bluff with his wife and daughter last November for the benefit of his health. He
was the great-grandson of Rev. Benjamin Dubois, who was pastor of the First Reformed church at Freehold for
65 years. Mr. Wyckoff was born at Carlyle, as Jerseyville was formerly called. He had lived at Asbury Park
and Freehold since he retired from active missionary work. In 1860 he married Miss Melissa Johnson at
Memphis, Tennessee and shortly afterward he went to India as a missionary. Mr. Wyckoff was in the ministry
forty years, 29 years of which were spent in foreign missionary work. He leaves a widow, two sons and two
daughters.
