Francis Alberto of Long Branch died of apoplexy on Friday, March 10th, after three days sickness. He was 77 years old. He was a native of Italy and had been a resident of New Jersey for seventeen years. He was a veteran of three wars. At one time he was worth $25,000 but through misfortune he lost it all. He leaves a widow and five children. The latter are John, Joseph, Rose and Congetta Alberto of Long Branch and Louise Alberto of Philadelphia.

Note that the headline and the Death Notice on this obit spell his name Francisco.
