New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Eva Haviland Emery

Mrs. Eva Haviland Emery, wife of William Emery of Oceanic, died of Bright’s disease on Saturday. She was 35 years old and had been sick for the past month. Mrs. Emery was twice married. Her first husband was James Haviland of Freehold. By this union six children were born, all of whom are living in various parts of the county. She was divorced from her husband about five years ago and two years later she married Mr. Emery. One child was born to them. Mrs. Emery was a member of the Red Bank Daughters of Liberty, from which the family will receive a death benefit. The funeral was held at half-past twelve o’clock from the house and at one o’clock from the Methodist church. The service was conducted by Rev. M. S. Messler , assisted by Rev. S. W. Knipe and Rev. John E. Parmley. The body was buried at West Long Branch.
