Miss Maria Lefferts Morford, daughter of John Morford of Branch avenue, died on Tuesday of last week, aged
33 years. Death was caused by consumption. Miss Morford taught school at Red Bank one year and at Avon
six years. She was employed as head clerk by John T. Lovett at Little Silver at the time she was taken sick.
The funeral was held last Friday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. William B. Matteson, assisted by Rev.
William V. Wilson. The body was buried at Fair View.
