New Jersey Wills - 1899 - Mrs. Hannah M. Allen

Mrs. Hannah M. Allen, widow of ex-Sheriff Charles Allen, who died at Perrineville about a month ago, left most of her property to Sarah E. Emson and Malvina H. Ely, who were also made executrices of the will. All of Mrs. Allen’s wearing apparel went to her sister, Sarah E. Pharo. Two oil portraits of herself and her husband were given to Hannah A. Emson, a niece, and a mantel clock, which was given to Mrs. Allen by Henry West, went to Lida B. Cornelius, another niece. Mrs. Allen’s piano went to Edith M. Ely and Ella Woodward is to receive $200 in cash. Both of these persons are nieces of Mrs. Allen. All the rest of the estate of whatever kind, including all money, personal property of all kinds, mortgages and real estate, is to be equally divided between Sarah E. Emson and Melvina H. Ely. The will was made April 9th, 1898, and was witnessed by Peter Forman and William T. MacMillan.
