New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Thomas S. Clark, Sr.

Thomas S. Clark, Sr., died at his home near Centerville on Monday of last week, aged 87 years. About two weeks before his death he was taken sick with pneumonia, which developed into kidney and heart trouble. This caused his death. Mr. Clark was born about a mile from the house where he died and all his life was spent in that vicinity. He was twice married. His first wife lived but a short time. By her he had one son, Thomas, who survives him. Fifty-five years ago he married Miss Susan Walling. She and eight children survive him. The latter are Ezrom S., C. VanRiper, John D. and Charles H. Clark, Mrs. Thomas G. Cowles, Mrs. John H. Curtis, Mrs. Hattie Thorne and Mrs. Emil Pimper. He leaves also 34 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
