New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Edmund Burrowes Walling


   

Edmund Burrowes Walling, son of Thomas B. Walling of Keyport, died last Thursday, aged 31 years. He had been sick over three years with a complication of diseases which developed into consumption. He ate his dinner as usual on Thursday and shortly afterward he was taken with sudden pain and died almost immediately. Mr. Walling was born at Keyport and lived there all his life. He graduated from the Keyport public school in 1884. When twelve years old he joined St. John’s Methodist church of Keyport and became president of the Epworth league of that church when the society was organized. He held this office until two years ago when he became secretary. He was a member of Company G. of Keyport and he was president of Liberty hose company. Mr. Walling was a brother to C. Herbert Walling, teacher of the Navesink public school.

Per the Death Notice Mr. Walling was 31 years, 7 months and 25 days.
