|
Mrs. Sarah Jane Hubbell Everdell, wife of Charles Everdell of Riverside avenue, died on Monday of oedema (sic) of the lungs. She had suffered from nervous prostration for over a year, but she was not taken seriously sick until about a week ago. From that time until her death she sank rapidly, but she was conscious most of the time until her death. The funeral will be held on Friday morning at ten o'clock at the house. The service will be conducted by Rev. Robert MacKellar. The body will be taken to Brooklyn for burial.
Mrs. Everdell was born at Derby, Connecticut, in 1826. She was married to Mr. Everdell in New York in 1847. They have lived in Red Bank about twelve years. She was the mother of nine children, four of whom are living. The surviving children are Mrs. T. B. Ackerman, Mrs. S. E. VanBrackle and Miss L. E. Everdell of Red Bank, and Charles B. Everdell of Trenton. Mrs. Everdell was 73 years old last Friday and her birthday was also the 52d anniversary of her marriage.
