|
Samuel Gravatt, Jr., Left All His Property to His Wife
Samuel Gravatt, Jr., of Millstone township, made his will April 6th, 1878. The witnesses were William R. Forman and T. J. Thomason. He ordered that part of his personal property be sold at public sale and the proceeds, together with the interest which he had in his father's estate, be used to pay his debts. To his wife, Lydia Gravatt, he left the use of all his real estate during her life and such personal property as she desires to keep. At her death the property is to be sold, and $150 is to be given to his children, Florence and William W. Gravatt. The remainder is to be divided equally among these two children and his other children, Mary Ann Clayton, Emily Jane Britton, John R. Gravatt, Georgianna Ely and Ellen M. Forman. Special bequests were also made to the above named children. His wife was made executrix of the will. At her death Peter Forman, if still living, is to be administrator.
