New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Mrs. Mary Jane (Galliger) Langining Englehart

Mrs. Mary Jane Langining Englehart, wife of George Englehart, died of kidney trouble at Oceanport on Friday. She was 39 years old and had been sick a year. For the past six weeks she was unable to lie down, but had to sit in a chair. Her husband and two small children survive her. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at half-past two o'clock at the house, and at three o'clock at the Star of the Sea church at Long Branch. The service was conducted by Rev. William Cantwell. The body was buried at Mt. Carmot cemetery, between Eatontown and West Long Branch. The pall bearers were H. B. Ferry, George Woodward, John Kelly and Dennis Connelly.
Mrs. Englehart was born in New York. Her maiden name was Mary Jane Galliger, and she was the daughter of a New York contractor. She was married twice. Her first husband was Jacob Lagining of New York. He died five years after their marriage. About ten years ago she married Mr. Englehart and she has since lived at Oceanport.
