New Jersey Obituaries - 1899 - Miss Elizabeth Carroll

Miss Elizabeth Carroll died on Friday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Conrad Cronin, on Bridge avenue. Death was caused by a tumor of the brain. She was 34 years old and had been sick about two years. She was born in Ireland, but had lived in this country about twenty years. Two sisters and three brothers survive her. They are Mrs. Conrad Cronin and Miss Margaret Carroll of Red Bank; Thomas and Nicholas Carroll of Jersey City and James Carroll of Bayonne. Miss Carroll was a member of the young ladies' Sodality of St. James's church. This society had charge of the funeral, which was held at half-past nine o'clock at the house on Monday morning, and at ten o'clock at St. James's church. The society marched from the house to the church, dressed in their funeral regalia. High requiem mass was celebrated. The body was buried at Mt. Olivet cemetery at Headden's Corner.
