Obituaries - NJ - 1900 - Richard Layton

Richard Layton of Long Branch died on Sunday, December 9th, from a complication of diseases, aged 74 years. He had been sick about six weeks. He was born
at Jerseyville, but had lived at Long Branch a good many years. He engaged in fishing during the summer and in the winter he worked at lathing. A wife and
seven children survive him. The children are Mrs. Addison Borden, Mrs. Edward McCloskey, Mrs. Charles Pearce, Mrs. Sadie Brinley, Mrs. Edward Morris and
Charles and William Layton, all of whom live at Long Branch. He leaves also a brother, Police Captain James Layton of Long Branch.
