New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Mrs. Beulah (True) Jordan

Search this site by Keyword / Surname:

Mrs. Beulah (True) Jordan, wife of Joseph V. Jordan, proprietor of the Elberon hotel at Long Branch, died last Thursday, aged 27 years. Mrs. Jordan had been in poor health for nearly two months. A week or so before her death she was taken to a New York hospital to be operated upon for an internal trouble. She was too weak however to undergo the operation and the internal trouble, together with heart disease, was the cause of death.

Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Fiske True and was born at Long Branch. She was married to Mr. Jordan seven years ago. She leaves one son, Camille, aged six years. Two sisters also survive her. They are Mrs. Thomas Smith and Miss Nellie True of Long Branch. The funeral was held on Sunday and the body was placed in a vault until the completion of a mausoleum, which is being built for the Jordan family.
