Elthia (Chamberlain) Leighton, wife of Theodore F. Leighton, who keeps the toll house on the Middletown turnpike, died last Friday, aged 51 years. Mrs. Leighton suffered a stroke of paralysis about four years ago. Six weeks ago she was again stricken and she never fully recovered from this attack. She leaves one brother and two sisters. They are Joseph Chamberlain of South street, Red Bank, and Mrs. Mary Casamossa and Mrs. Alida Parker, of Brooklyn. She leaves no children. The funeral was held at ten o’clock yesterday at the chapel at Fair View.
