Catherine (Heartneady) Riordan, wife of Michael Riordan of Shrewsbury, died last Wednesday, aged 61 years. Death was caused by cancer of the throat, with which she had been sick some time. Mrs. Riordan leaves five children. They are Miss Mamie Riordan and Michael Riordan, Jr., of Shrewsbury; Timothy and John Riordan of South Norwalk, Connecticut. One brother also survives her, Rev. Dean Heartneady of Steubenville, Ohio. The funeral was held on Saturday, at St. James's church at Red Bank. The body was buried in Mount Olivet cemetery at Headden's Corner.
