New Jersey Obituaries - 1900 - Joseph R. Davison
|
Joseph R. Davison of Freehold died on Friday, May 18th, aged 57 years. Death was caused by hasty consumption, with which he had been sick eight weeks. Mr. Davison was a son of Susan M. Dey and Reuben Davison and was born near Jamesburg. He lived at Jamesburg some time, but had spent the greater part of his life at Freehold. He entered the railroad service when he was eighteen years old and was in the employ of the Freehold and Jamesburg agricultural railroad in its early days. For the last eight years he had been employed as engineer at the Pennsylvania yards at South Amboy. Mr. Davison leaves a widow and one son, Albro Davison of Freehold. Five sisters and two brothers also survive him.
