John R. Sutphen of Tennent died on Saturday, aged 89 years. He had lived at Tennent all his life. He leaves a wife, who was Catherine Herbert. Three children also survive him. They are Conover, Aaron and John Sutphen of Tennent. Mr. Sutphen has a number of relatives at Oceanic.
