Wills - NJ - 1900 - Rev. F. A. Slater
|
Rev. F. A. Slater's Property Willed to His Children
Rev. F. A. Slater of Matawan, who died August 3rd, left a will which he had made in March , 1890. I his will he left to his daughter, Ida B. Slater
a house and lot on the west side of Jackson street at Matawan, and all the rest of his property he left was to be equally divided between his two
sons, Frank H. Slater and Myron E. Slater.. If any of the children died before Mr. Slater, then that child's share was to go to the others. In his
will Mr. Slater provided that his sister-in-law, Arabella I. Hovey, should have a home as long as she lived in the house willed to his daughter, but
a codicil to the will sets forth that his sister-in-law had got married subsequent to the making of the will and had been well provided for and that
therefore this provision of the will was revoked.
