A KEYPORTER'S PROPERTY
A Lawsuit Probable Before the Estate is Settled
Henry Johnson, who lived alone in a part of a house which he owned at Keyport, was found unconscious in a field of weeds near his home last Wednesday by George Brewster, who lives in another part of the house. Mr. Johnson was carried into the house and he died a few minutes afterward. Death was due to brain paralysis. Mr. Johnson was 73 years old. He was born in England, but had lived at Keyport for the past forty years.
Mr. Johnson's only surviving relative is a niece, Mrs. Joseph brown, who lives in Holmdel township. Word was sent to her of the death of her uncle, but when she went to Keyport she was refused admission by Mrs. Brewster to the part of the house occupied by Mr. Johnson. Mrs. Brewster claims that Mr. Johnson previous to his death gave her the property which they jointly occupied and she refused Mrs. Brown admission to the house for fear that it would give her some claim to the property. Mrs. Brown was admitted to the house only after invoking the aid of the law. It is probable that a lawsuit will result before the estate is settled.
