Wills - NJ - 1901 - William Lane
|
The will of William Lane, the real estate agent at Long Branch known as "The Old Reliable," was probated last week. Mr. Lane had a bad accident about a year ago, when he fell while alighting from a trolley car, and he made his will last February. He left all his property to his only son, E. Lester Lane, after providing for the payment of his debts and for a few small bequests. These bequests were $100 to his brother, Henry C. Lane; $100 to Maria Woolley, wife of James Woolley; $100 to Mrs. Alice Welling, his housekeeper; and $50 to Levi G. Bliss, Mr. Lane's lifelong friend. Mr. Bliss was made the executor of the will.
