Wills - NJ - 1901 - Samuel Wardell
|
Samuel Wardell of Branchport, who had been in failing health for over a year, and who died November 1st, made his will April 20th, 1888. He left a widow and three children. Mr. Wardell's son, Joel Wardell, and his son-in-law, Thomas W. Cooper, were made the executors of the will. All the property was left to them in trust. Within six months after Mr. Wardell's death they are to pay to his widow $2,000 in cash. She is also to get one-third of all the rest of the estate. The other two-thirds is to be divided equally among Mr. Wardell's three children, Mary L. Cooper, wife of Thomas W. Cooper of Long Branch; Clemence Weatherby, wife of Rev. Samuel S. Weatherby of Atlantic Highlands; and John Wardell of Long Branch. Mrs. Cooper's and Mrs. Weatherby's shares are to be paid to them at once, but John Wardell's share is to be put out at interest on real estate and he is to get only the income. At his death his share is to be divided among his children.
