Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - Mrs. Mamie (Doran) Coleman
|
Mrs. Michael A. (Mamie Doran) Coleman
Mamie, wife of Michael A. Coleman, proprietor of the West Side hotel on Shrewsbury avenue, died of heart disease last Wednesday night, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ellen Doran of Lincroft. She was forty years old. Mrs. Coleman had been sick only a short time. By the advice of her physician she was removed to the home of her mother a week before her death in order that she would be where it was more quiet. She was critically sick at that time but it was thought that she would recover. She was beyond medical assistance, however, and she gradually grew weaker until her death.
Mrs. Coleman was the daughter of Ellen and the late James Doran and was born at Lincroft. At the age of eighteen years she married Michael A. Coleman. He survives her. She leaves one daughter, Miss Nellie Coileman, and a brother, Daniel Doran, who is employed on the Long Branch Record.
The funeral was held at St. James's church at ten o'clock on Saturday and the body was buried in Mount Olivet cemetery at Headden's Corner.
(Per Death Notice Mrs. Coleman was 40 years, 4 months and 24 days old.)
