Levi VanNess died of Bright's disease at one o'clock to-day at the home of his stepson, Edward Tilton of Monmouth street. He was 79 years old and had been sick about a week. He leaves a widow.

The funeral will be held at the house at two o'clock on Saturday. The sermon will be preached by Rev. E. C. Hancock. The body will be buried at Long Branch.
