Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - George Allen Baker

George Allen Baker died at Missoula, Montana, on Wednesday , January 2d, aged 61 years. News of his death reached Shrewsbury, which was his native
place, on Monday. Mr. Baker was born on the old Allen homestead at Shrewsbury, now the Washington L. Hope place. His mother was Anna Amelia
Allen and his father was David F. Baker. He went to Montana thirty years ago, and made a fortune there. He was judge of the courts of
his county for many years, but he had to resign the position some time ago because of failing health. He leaves a widow and one child,
and he also leaves a brother in New York, who is connected with the German-American insurance company.
