|
Ida O., wife of Alfred Davis of Borden street, died last Wednesday of a complication of diseases, aged 31 years. She had been in poor
health about a year but had not been confined to her bed. On the day of her death she walked about the house and sat on the stoop for
some time. She was conscious within two hours of her death and talked with her husband about her children. She leaves two children,
a boy, aged seven years, and a girl, aged nine years. Two sisters and four brothers also survive her. They are Hessie, Hattie, Robert,
Percy and William Reid. None of them is married.
Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Hannah and William Reid of Stout street and she was born at Red Bank. She married Mr. Davis ten years ago.
Her father has been janitor of the Second National Bank for many years. Her husband has been employed at Prices's at Pleasure Bay for the past
ten years and Mr. Davis was remembered by Mr. Price in a financial way in his bereavement. At the funeral, which was held last Friday, a
handsome floral piece was sent by Mrs. H. S. Thomas and her daughter of the Rumson inn. The burial was at White Ridge cemetery, Eatontown.
(Per the death notice Mrs. Davis was 31 years and 2 months)
